Dr. Zarrinkelk earned his undergraduate degree and dental degree from Loma Linda University. He began his surgical residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Parkland Hospital, where he was named Research Fellow in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. It was here where Dr. Zarrinkelk studied the field of major reconstructive surgery for patients with facial deformities. It was also during this time when Dr. Zarrinkelk authored several articles and gave many presentations, making significant contributions to the field of Orthognathic surgery. Dr. Zarrinkelk completed his surgical residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center. In addition to studying Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during his hospital-based training, with a special emphasis on reconstructive jaw surgery, facial trauma, and facial cosmetic surgery, he received invaluable experience in internal medicine, anesthesia, and general surgery.
As a professional who prides himself on providing the highest standard of care and strives to ensure the next generation of oral surgeons do so as well, Dr. Zarrinkelk is an associate professor at Loma Linda University, training future surgeons in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Zarrinkelk remains involved with his community and providing outstanding oral surgery care to its residents. In addition to his private oral surgery practice, Dr. Zarrinkelk is staffed at both Community Memorial Hospital of San Buenaventura and Ventura County Medical Center.
Dr. Zarrinkelk is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and the American Dental Association. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
When Dr. Zarrinkelk is not busy treating patients, he enjoys time with his wife and two children. He can also be found enjoying the outdoors and likes to sail, golf, and snow ski.
