There are many options for tooth replacement
Drs. Zarrinkelk, Siavash and Coppelson specialize in implant-based tooth replacement, such as dental implants, and All-On-4 treatment concept, at Greater Ventura Oral & Facial Surgery, with Nobel implants being the primary dental implant of choice for our patients. While dental implants are a popular tooth replacement method favored by oral surgeons and patients alike, we want our patients to feel good about their choice of treatment. We understand that your choice for tooth replacement may not be the ideal option for another patient; every treatment plan created at Greater Ventura Oral & Facial Surgery is specially tailored to the patient.
When you come to Dr. Zarrinkelk, Dr. Siavash or Dr. Coppelson for treatment, your oral surgeon will take the time to evaluate your condition, discuss your goals for treatment, and propose a detailed treatment plan to improve your oral health.
Although implant-based tooth restorations are a specialty of Greater Ventura Oral & Facial Surgery, there are several options to replace a single tooth, multiple teeth, or an entire arch of teeth.
- Dental Implants. Dental implants are a permanent tooth replacement solution that can replace a single tooth or multiple teeth at once. Dental implants are appealing to patients and oral surgeons alike for their permanence, stability, and natural-looking result. Patients can be confident in the way that they eat, speak, and smile—something many patients experiencing tooth loss are self-conscious about. Furthermore, dental implants are a complete tooth replacement option as they prevent bone loss, just like a natural tooth. Learn more about dental implants by viewing our Dental Implants page.
- Implant-Supported Dentures/Trefoil™/All-On-4®. The All-On-4 treatment concept utilizes four dental implant posts to securely restore a full arch of upper or lower teeth. Since the prosthesis is supported by dental implants, the results are permanent, functional, and beautiful. Visit our All-On-4 page to learn more about the procedure.
- Bridges. Patients who are missing teeth next to each other may receive a bridge. Many patients like the convenience of a bridge, which is placed by your dentist, to bridge the gap the missing teeth have created; however, patients should be aware that placing a bridge requires grinding down healthy teeth to support the prosthesis. It is also common to replace a bridge after several years of wear.
- Full or Partial Dentures. Dentures have been a longstanding tooth replacement solution for many patients with varying degrees of tooth loss. Many patients like the convenience of being able to remove their dentures at will, as well as a denture’s ability to replace a single tooth, several teeth, or a full arch of teeth. Dentures often require adjustments from time to time. If these adjustments fail to provide a secure and comfortable fit, surgical correction (known as pre-prosthetic surgery) may be recommended. Drs. Zarrinkelk, Siavash and Coppelson perform pre-prosthetic surgery at their practice, and you can learn more by going to our Pre-Prosthetic Surgery page.
